Funding Announcement: FY 2022 AmeriCorps State and National Tribal Grants, Application deadline is May 4, 2022

The FY 2022 AmeriCorps State and National Tribal Grants competition, AmeriCorps seeks to prioritize the investment of national service resources in efforts to help local communities respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, including improving educational opportunity and economic mobility for communities experiencing persistent unemployment or underemployment, and students experiencing homelessness or those in foster care, economic opportunity such as increasing digital skills and increasing access to broadband. In the areas of education this funding would help improve student academic performance in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), traditional knowledge and indigenous language, and/or serving students who attend Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools. Also, a priority is Environmental stewardship and climate change including creating a focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency, and working on a Nation–to–Nation basis with Tribal Nations and upholding the federal government’s Tribal trust responsibility. The deadline for application is May 4, 2022.
