COVID-19: Behavioral Health Resources
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and their partners are continuing to create resources to address the behavioral health needs of children, families, and communities impacted by COVID-19. In this resource, the NCTSN lists specific resources for a variety of audiences including parents/caregivers, children, schools, communities, and mental health providers. NCTSN also includes resources for responders focused on the Psychological First Aid intervention and Skills for Psychological Recovery Manual. The Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress has resources related to sustaining wellbeing, helping homebound children during the pandemic and managing family conflict. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has tips for social distancing and coping with stress during the COVID-19 outbreak. SAMHSA’s Disaster Helpline is also included.
