The objectives of this webinar, presented in cooperation with the Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information (CoE-PHI) and the National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC), is for attendees to learn more about the privacy protections for substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health (MH) information. Topics include how to identify federal health privacy laws which protect individuals SUD and MH treatment information, understand how individuals receiving services and their families can work together to support recovery while respecting privacy and individual choices, recognize key points for individuals and families to consider when sharing or requesting SUD/MH treatment information.
