HALOS: South Carolina Kinship Care provides support and advocacy for abused and neglected children and kinship caregivers. Those include grandparents, relatives or friends raising children to keep them out of foster care with strangers by assessing each family's needs, providing assistance to stabilize the family, connecting caregivers to monthly meetings, educating those caring for children who have suffered trauma, provide legal advice regarding custody issues, support caregibers with car seats and other needed supplies for children including offering scholarships, and support families strenths to achieve goals with success coaching.
