This article highlights a pilot project in the East Harlem area of Manhattan to identify children who have witnessed serious incidents of domestic violence and provide an immediate, coordinated, trauma-focused and interdisciplinary response to children under the age of 18 and their impacted family members. This article description of the coordinated home-based outreach by the NYPD and its partners to provide evidence-based, mental health interventions. Partners include NYPD, NY County DA Office, and Safe Horizon, Inc.
